- Pusey Library, Map Collection,
has a wide variety of GIS software (ArcView 3.1 with Spatial Analyst
and Network Analyst Extensions, MapInfo, Maptitude, Business Map,
Atlas GIS, Arc/Info, Manifold) and a large collection of digital
GIS data. Image-processing software includes Photoshop. There
are also a GIS specialist, Bonnie
Burns, and a cartography specialist, Martin
von Wyss, who can help make maps by appointment.

- Structural Geology Laboratory:

type SGI Octane MXI for Arc/Info and MACPOWERPC 9600 for Arcview.
MiniCAD for MacOS and the image-processing softwares ERDAS and
ER Mapper are also available. Disk memory is 8 GB for SGI and
4 GB for MAC. CD-ROM available. Printers: Apple 600dpi color laser,
HP 2500 CP Plotter. Scanner type Calcomp large format continuous
feed.

The GIS software available is ArcView on PCs. AutoCAD R13 is
used as the CAD system and image-processing software includes Photoshop.
Disk memory is 6 GB. Printers are HP Laserjet 4M and 4MV (tabloid
paper). Scanner:HP Scanjet 4C. One "public" PC running ArcView is
available to students/faculty/staff.
Downloading

Login as guest
Mount the General Software volume
Open the Courseware Folder
Open the ArcView folder
This software is keyed
- PCs:
Open Network Neighborhood and then the Entire Network
Select Netware Services, IntranetWare Servers and then attach to
the Get Connected server as guest
Open the folder softpc and select Fasmenu
Now select the ArcView software
Note that sample data is not included in the installer. For more
