| This is a place that allows for experimentation, exploration, discovery and visualization of spatial information and research across different fields of science, space and time. We want to assist you in your learning experience of our complex spatial world both in the classroom or laboratory settings and in the field. GIS Home allows you to become aware and take advantage of the several gis-based initiatives and research going on within the Harvard community. About GIS allows you to familiarize with what people mean for GIS, and how this field is evolving. ANNOUNCEMENT: If you are a Harvard undergraduate or a graduate student who has done a project using GIS, you may want to submit your project for the Howard T. Fisher Prize. The deadline is May 7, 2004, at 5:00 pm. For eligibility and rules, please see Howard T. Fisher Prize in GIS. Map Events Tool is the main focus of this site and is geared toward developing new approaches to teaching and training in a spatial and mobile world. We highly welcome feedback and suggestions. If you want to send us your comments, we will make every effort to take them into consideration. |
